Storytime & Snacks hosted by WORD and Greenpoint Food Market

Hello GFM Fans!

We are very excited to present a collaboration with Greenpoint’s bookstore WORD for storytime and snacks on

NOVEMBER 15th at 2pm!

WORD Brooklyn at 126 Franklin Street

The whole family and book lovers young and old are invited to join us for a reading of THE DUCHESS OF WHIMSY with Brooklyn author/illustrator duo of Randall and Peter de Sève. The story revolves around a wild duchess and an Earl with a crush who is dutifully ignored til a chef is ill and they engage in a tumultuous adventure with food, especially grilled cheese!

We are proud to be collaborating along side local farm and purveyors to provide grilled cheese sandwiches and milk!

Market vendors You Can’t Eat Bread? and Sweetie Pies Brooklyn will be baking the bread, Pampered Cow farm is graciously providing the cheddar, and Brooklyn Standard is donating milk from Hudson Valley Fresh, all in continual efforts to support local food production and distribution!

This event is also part of a special Indie Bookstore Week NYC program WORD is hosting with Freebird Books in Red Hook.

So come by and support your local authors, foodies, stores and farms!!
